Artist Statement: (Hamantashen cookies are a symbolic food eaten during the holiday of Purim. Hamentaschen translates to “Ears of Haman.” Haman is the villain of the Purim story This triangular-shaped cookie is supposed to represent either Haman’s ears or his three cornered hat.
