Artist Statement: This year I was in AP 3D art and I wanted to do a gore them. I’ve always been a fan of horror and gore and thought it’ll be fun to make my own gore. T.V shows and horror movies inspired me to do guts and blood seeing the things they did on T.V I wanted to give it a try. I was able to create these pieces with air dry clay, yarn, glue and acrylic paint. I would often watch different kinds of horror films and picture something in my head and eagerly start creating it the next day. I was very new to clay and 3D art but I got a hang of it after the first one and know there’s always room for improvement. I loved smoothing out the clay to create a shape and watching it all come together once I started putting the blood. My work really shows my dark side and my weird side. I love horror and I believe it shows in the art I create and I’m eager to further my skills and improve to create wonderful disgusting things in the future. One day I hope to really make someones stomach turn when they see one of my 3D art pieces.
