Description: Vector based tools were used to create this logo for a food truck. Pictured is a strawberry paleta (ice cream) and a mangonada, which is a mango sorbet mixed with mango pieces, spice/sauces, and topped off with a tamarind straw. This food truck is a representation of my Mexican culture and the desserts that are popular within it. The desert theme represents hot summer days where all you want to do is get a yummy snack.
Artist Statement: These works were created for my Digital Imaging class using Photopea. At the start of the projects, we are given a set of requirements to fulfill, but other than this, we have complete creative control over what we wish to create. What inspired me to create the pieces I did are the things that I enjoy outside of school. My artistic process consists of brainstorming things that I like that I could possibly include in the project or trying to find inspiration in examples from previous students.
Given that Photopea is the main resource that we use to create art in class, I have come to find many tools that I really enjoy working with. One of my favorites that I have used in every piece is the gradient tool because it makes your art look smooth and realistic. I like making my art pieces look as photo-realistic as possible and I enjoy adding small details here and there to pull the piece together. I put my best efforts into my art because I want to show others the things that I’m passionate about. They’re a visual representation of who I am not only as a student, but as a whole person.
