Artist Statement: This art piece is supposed to portray New York and its buildings from the perspective of a civilian. The use of perspective drawing allowed this piece to portray the New York skyline and give an idea of how tall the buildings are. The buildings show the progression the architectural industry has made in the last one hundred years. The buildings are composed of geometric shapes such as rectangles, squares, triangles, and more. These shapes help define what architecture is in the modern world.
