Artist Statement: I created these pieces because I wanted to create my own characters in their own world. I was inspired by fairy tales and mythical creatures. I used pencil and acrylic paint for my projects; the material I used depended on what effect I wanted to create in my work; for example, pencil was used when I wanted my work to look like it came from a book or a story but I used acrylic paint when I wanted the character and setting to look like it was real or vibrant.
