Artist Statement: Im very interested in how microscopy can develop an abstract space. I have always been very interested in biology and all the many forms life can take on this planet. The paintings I’ve submitted deal with cellular units of life- that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Under a microscope, cells possess a spacial quality that I find very interesting. In my work I look to use microscopy to develop abstract spaces from these cellular units.
