Artist Statement: I never really called myself an artist until now and I never really thought I was good at it. After I saw Molly Costello’s art I felt a connection – like I was drawn to her art. I was never really into drawing people but when I saw the art piece titled ”Dreams We Wake,” that’s when I knew I just had to recreate it. I was always into astrology and when I saw that the woman didn’t actually have a face, instead she had black skin with stars all over her body and there was a moon above her head, it reminded me of outer space. This was really cool!
