Artist Statement: The “Imaginary Cities” is a title that evokes the past, the present, and the future. I want to show this piece of art because I believe that each individual has a past, a present and a future in which they have lived and lives and will live, during this pandemic, my purpose has been to motivate students to use art, their creativity and their talents, to get out of the four walls that have enclosed us; and so they can fly, travel, dream. This piece of art particularly represents my family life, my childhood and my experience in different cities and places that I have traveled. Here I see myself in a process of projection from the inside out. I also leave space for the audience to join this process and use their creativity and imagination to dream; they can travel to places that they already have been and project to new unknown places.
