Description: This piece titled “I’m the monster” was a representation of what I felt I was holding in during my early years of high school. I was dealing with negative thoughts and low self-esteem, and didn’t understand why. I felt as if I was in a battle with a monster in my head, that I could never get rid of. This creature is meant to embody all the depressive thoughts of self harm, feeling hopeless, and worthless, that I at the time began experiencing.
