Teacher Name: Jillian Swinford
Dimensions: 12” × 18”
Artist Statement:
The Chicago Fire: I used this because the Chicago Fire is a big part of Chicago history and also before COVID19 I used to go to Chicago Fire games with my dad because this is also the name of a professional soccer team.
Spray paint: I put this because I love to draw. I usually draw every night before I go to sleep and I find it very calming. Also spray paint was invented in Illinois and there are tons of murals in Chicago
The Willis Tower: I used this as a symbol because you can see four states from the top of it and I thought that was pretty cool and also one day I want to go on that glass balcony near the top.
Navy Pier: I used this as a symbol for Chicago because it seems like a really fun place and pretty interesting and most people talk alot about the ferris wheel
