The second semester was a busy one for Animation & Sequential Arts. We dove deep into the world of Zines, and this year; Photography, Culinary Arts, and Creative Arts & Ceramics joined in the fun. Second-year students created their own large-scale Graphic Novels, first-year students created zines on many topics, and students from all four classes worked together on a group Zine project called “Tales from the Times of Covid.” Our first-year students moved into Pixel Art after that in one of our favorite programs Aseprite! They applied the 12 principles of animation to some of their first animated projects in the program, walk and run cycles! Second-year students worked on a Flip Book Collaboration with DePaul University and then moved into a Rotoscoping unit where they Rotoscoped poems read aloud. We hope you enjoy the work of this very talented group of young animators!
